Hey my name is Chase and this is my debut album Dove City Soundtrack! I wrote and recorded it over the past two years at home, with features from my friends on several songs.
This album was made between the ages of 18-21, so as a result the theme of the album pretty much became a coming of age soundtrack naturally, figuring things out in the midst of grief, heartbreak, maybe at moments wanting to lash out at someone but also remembering the good times with your friends and calming yourself down, remembering what really matters. I like to think that "Dove City" is just where you are when you're going through life with your best friends around, but really it can mean whatever you want it to mean.
I recorded it on an 8-track digital Tascam recorder in conjunction with a 4 track Tascam cassette recorder - no DAW or plugins used except in the mastering stage. All the tracks you hear are human performances - there are no programmed drums, keyboard parts, or edited tracks on the album. I hope you enjoy, if you do please let me know your thoughts on it! Recorded and mixed with a Tascam Model 12 and Tascam 414 tape recorder between September 2023 to December 2025
This album was mastered with high dynamic range in mind
